In addition to the foundation your pup would learn in the fundamental program, this program takes your pup to the next level. More time with us means more repetitions. More repetitions means better retention. This means your pup will be solid around distractions, not just in a controlled environment.
What Your Dog Will Learn During The Intermediate Program
WEEK ONE YOUR DOG WILL LEARN THE FUNDAMENTAL PROGRAM SKILLS!
- Manners: No Jumping, No leash pulling, Respecting thresholds, How to behave in the kennel, Ignoring distractions.
- Basic Commands: Sit, Down, Place, Heel, Recall.
- Loose Leash Walking - No pulling on walks and increased focus.
- Proper greeting of dogs and people.
THE SECOND WEEK YOUR DOG WILL LEARN:
- Impulse control: Ignoring its environment, while under distractions.
- Basic Commands Sit, Down, Place, Recall, with elevated distractions for duration.
- Outings: We will take your pup on outings to proof skills, in real life scenarios
- Off Leash Freedom: With a little work at home, you’ll have a pup that you can enjoy Off Leash

Training is guaranteed for the life of the dog. We offer free unlimited follow up sessions for dogs that complete any of our adult drop off and board and train programs.

Bailey and Mack did such a great job with our 4 month old Great Pyrenees! He did the 4 day puppy program and they were very communicative each day about what he was learning and his attitude throughout the day. The training session at the end of the program was very helpful! They walked us through everything and answered any questions we had with ease. I took my 5month old GSD mix puppy for a 4 day board and train and I LOVED it! Each day I received a report card with pictures (attached) on how she was doing and what they learned and when I came to get her, they showed me how they worked with her and how I can continue building on what she learned with follow up sessions available!I’m looking to continue her training with them and will be bringing my pitbull to them too. This place is the best!! Worth every dime, I love the staff and they clearly love my dog! I was at a loss with what to do with my American Bulldog until I talk to Taylor at West TN K9, she assured me they were in my corner. I did the 3 week drop off pick up program and by week 2 I was seeing some real results. The daily report cards were a nice touch to let me know about my dogs day! I don’t even know where to start. My experience with WTK9 has been absolutely fabulous! My dog had adult and puppy training. I love that once you are done training they bring you in and show you what your dog has learned and then give you tools to continue the training. They also encourage follow ups after you have completed your training. The staff genuinely love their job, and want’s your dog to be the best version of itself. I honestly have to say there is a huge difference in my dog’s behaviour after training. I’m extremely gratefully and feel more confident with my dog! Look forward to daycare with you guys!
