This is the most complete program you’ll find anywhere. We get dogs so they can live life with us. This program can make that dream a reality. In addition to laying the foundation and doing the repetitions to give you a good pup, this program tests your pups skills in the real world. Tell us where you would like your dog to go with you, and we will train them in that environment. You will definitely have the best behaved dog on your block!
Our Most Inclusive Program! If You want To Take Your Dog Anywhere, This Is For You!
The first week your pup learns everything in the fundamental program :
- Manners: No Jumping, No leash pulling, Respecting thresholds, How to behave in the kennel, Ignoring distractions.
- Basic Commands: Sit, Down, Place, Heel, Recall.
- Loose Leash Walking - No pulling on walks and increased focus.
- Proper greeting of dogs and people.
THE SECOND WEEK YOUR PUP LEARNS EVERYTHING IN THE INTERMEDIATE PROGRAM
- Impulse control: Ignoring its environment, while under distractions.
- Basic Commands Sit, Down, Place, Recall, with elevated distractions for duration.
- Outings: We will take your pup on outings to proof skills, in real life scenarios
- Off Leash Freedom: With a little work at home, you’ll have a pup that you can enjoy Off Leash
THE THIRD WEEK IS WHERE IT ALL COMES TOGETHER!
- Basic commands are no longer basic! Sit, Down, Place, recall from a distance, around intense real world distractions.
- Out On The Town! The third week is proofing your pup all over Memphis! Bass Pro, Crosstown, Shelby Farms, Restaurants, Etc!
- Reliable Off Leash Control: With some practice, you’ll be able to enjoy your pup off leash on hikes and walks.
- Proper Social Skills: You’ll be able to take your pup to patio restaurants and crowded social gatherings.
AFTER THREE WEEKS WITH US, YOUR PUP WILL KNOW ITS STUFF! WE DO THE HARD WORK, SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO!
Training is guaranteed for the life of the dog. We offer free unlimited follow up sessions for dogs that complete any of our adult drop off and board and train programs.

We loved WTK9!!! They did so well with Nova and her training. We are just so grateful for the night and day difference. Our main problem was with our cat Lizzy. Nova has done so wonderfully with the cat since her return home. I was so thankful for the connection they kept with us during her stay and loved her daily report cards. Our 4 year-old Golden friend, Cash, was born in August of 2020. A true pandemic pup, he grew up in a loving home but without the face-to-face contacts with other people and dogs he needed. We worked hard to socialize him. Although he’s great with people, he has continued to be very awkward and reactive with other dogs. Also not good on his own when we try to leave him. He is never destructive but barks excessively.That’s why we approached West TN K9 for additional training. Cash just finished a 2 week board/train and we could not be happier or more encouraged about continuing to build on his work at WTK9.It was a good experience from start to finish.My initial contact with Taylor helped me understand what our options were and what the goal of the training would be.Guru Terry’s videos and the written guidelines we got were all spot on.Trainer Emily’s communications up front and her daily photo or video clip and report cards during Cash’s training were so helpful in understanding what he was capable of and how he was learning it. Her Go Home session was perfect for us to overcome our nervousness and feel more confident about continuing the training at our kids’ home in Memphis and then in our home in an Airstream trailer on the road full time.My husband, Steve, and I both feel like West TN K9 is a great value, and we thank them all for helping us and our Cash to become a better family for one another.

My wife and I went for puppy training classes and learned so much from our trainer, Devi. She was great at answering all our questions and showing us what we needed to do for our Golden Retriever puppy Clyde. Highly recommend the puppy classes to help you learn how to train your dog yourself!

He can have a rough play style and didn't always take corrections from my older male dog, causing stress for all the dogs in the house. They've learned to coexist while respecting each other's space and we now have four peaceful pups. Highly recommend!

Brought my year old high energy rescue pittie mix for two weeks of training. The results were almost immediate. Our trainer Bailey clearly loves dogs and knows how to get the best results for your dog. She was so patient with us during our one on one sessions and really gave us the knowledge and tools we needed to continue training our dog at home. This is a first class highly professional dog training operation. I highly recommend it particularly if you have behavior issues with your dog that nothing seems to be working.
