- Meet Chelsey -
Chelsey Collier
Hello, I’m Chelsey, COO and co-owner of West Tennessee K9 Nashville.
Since I grew up in a house full of dogs and dog training, I’m not surprised I decided this was a career path for me. However, it wasn’t the direction I thought I was going in life.
I graduated from central Michigan, with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. After working with troubled youth at Youth Villages in Memphis and then gaining certifications allowing me to work with non-verbal autistic children in Nashville, I just could not stop thinking about what it would be like to work with dogs every day. In fact, what we do with dogs and the process we use to do it, differs little from the processes used to work with the children under my care.
After taking the leap a few years ago, I haven’t looked back. Every day I am rewarded with stories of how our client’s lives have drastically changed and how they are now living their best lives with their dogs.
