- Meet Our facility manager -
Devi Balentine
Hello, I’m Devi, facility manager.
Devi came to us, primarily with dog kennel and care experience, but it didn’t take long to see that she had some intuitive dog training/handling skills. Dog training is largely about leadership and communication, two areas in which Devi excels. She has a way to tune in with and motivate the dogs. She has a very positive training style, but she doesn’t allow the bratty dogs to push her around.
Devi has a way of not only motivating dogs, but she is also a natural people motivator. She is our Facility manager. There isn’t anything that goes on in the facility that she isn’t aware of. One of her primary responsibilities is making sure every dog is receiving the best care and training possible. She is also responsible for staff training and scheduling, facility maintenance, staff scheduling, and so much more.
Another huge part of her role here at West Tennessee K9 is go home, private, and follow up sessions. Devi has a unique, low-pressure way to communicate hard truths. She is very good at explaining the whys of things and doing so in a way that’s easy to understand and apply.

Top Memphis Trainer 5 Years Running!
Best of the best right here! As a local Veterinarian in the area I love the fact that I can send my clients and patients to people I trust exclusively. The entire staff is professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely love what they do. Highly recommend!!

We booked our dog, Batty, for a two week board and train in July and it’s worth every penny! Batty is a rambunctious one year old pup but this training has gotten him on the right track. He can have a rough play style and didn’t always take corrections from my older male dog, causing stress for all the dogs in the house. They’ve learned to coexist while respecting each other’s space and we now have four peaceful pups. Highly recommend!
